Deer are Legally Protected Animals
I can provide professional, responsible deer management for private gardens, estates, woodland and other properties where wild deer are causing damage or concern.
Deer are protected by legislation in the UK, and their management must comply with the Deer Act 1991 and applicable species-specific open seasons and legal requirements.
As a qualified deer stalker, I assess each situation individually, considering animal welfare, the surrounding environment and the most appropriate course of action. Where necessary and lawful, I can undertake humane deer culling using suitable non-lead ammunition.
I also hold the LANTRA Large Game Handling Certificate, enabling me to handle and prepare deer carcasses hygienically. Where appropriate, clients may retain venison for their own personal consumption, subject to relevant food safety requirements.
My approach is grounded in professionalism, discretion, respect for wildlife and compliance with current guidance.
